Simone Legno

Simone Legno is an Italian designer best known for the creation of the Tokidoki brand. Legno's work is influenced by Japanese pop-culture. As a child, Legno drew excessively and it was this passion for art that led to the eventual creation of Tokidoki. "Tokidoki" means “sometimes” in Japanese. Legno, who has always had a deep love of Japan and fascination with world cultures, chose the word because he feels “everyone waits for moments that change one’s destiny, by chance or by meeting a new person." Legno's online portfolio grew until it began to attract attention and he was contacted by the founders of cosmetic's company Hard Candy and convinced him to move to L.A and start up the Tokidoki business venture. Legno's designs have expanded to encompass a wide variety of mediums including, print, clothing, toys and handbags.
